In the book
the settings is set as mid 1900’s, maybe 1940-1950, and in the movie you can’t
really tell what the time is, cause Mike Teevie had an widescreen TV when he
played games, but he played a old game. The clothes were also very old looking
so it’s a mix of time periods.
In the book
we never get to know who the narrator, but we know that the narrator is “on Charlies
side” we also know that the narrator is thirdperson view and in the film, we don’t
know who the narrator is until the end, one of the Ompa Lompas. In the film the
narrator is also thirdperson view.
I also like
that the climax in the book is a bit different than in the film, for example I think
the climax in the book is when Charlie finds the golden ticket, and the climax
in the film is when he finds the golden ticket and when Willy Wonka meets his
dad after a long time, and I also think it’s a climax when Willy Lives with
Charlies family and become a family member and having fun with them.
I think
that Willy is more “colorful” in the film than In the book, he seems more rude
in the film too, a bit arrogant, like he don’t care about others.
